The latter one also made a lucrative business in the box office. However, the year 1997 was not so lucky for this Bollywood hunk. Movies like Auzaar failed to create any kind of impact on the audiences.

However, the actor bounced back in the very next year with the films like Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya and Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai. Salman’s career received a massive setback in the early 21st century. A large number of films such as, Tumko Na Bhool Payenge, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam etc suffered miserably in the box office.

It took nearly three years to recover from this disaster. With the release of Tere Naam in 2003, Salman once again tasted the effervescences of success. In 2006, the bad patch once again continued for this legendary actor as none of the films can be claimed as successful. However, he soon made a comeback with the film Partner along with the comedian actor Govinda.

The year 2009 was kind of mixed-bag response for the actor as his films like London Dreams and Main aur Mrs Khanna failed at the box office. However, he proved his mettle with Wanted in the same year, which released during Eid and became one the highest grosser of the year.

His Television Stint:

In 2008, Salman made his television debut on Sony Entertainment Television with Dus Ka Dum. The show was reasonably successful and the channel repeated Khan as the host in its second season, which was aired on 2009. However, the most popular TV show till date in his career is Big Boss 4 on colors.
